Project Management.

Ranging from individual projects to full turnkey solutions, our company supports our customers to achieve their key objectives. For some customers this means increasing productivity, performance and improving supply chain management. Yet for others their focus is safety enhancement or personnel skill development. With a heavy customer focus, we adapt our solutions to align them to our customers’ goals.

Services.

Instrument installation (Transducer systems, 3300, 3500, 2300, 1701, Trendmaster Pro, VBonline pro):

Hardware Maintenance And Calibration Services: For installed Bently Nevada equipment, all hardware components from the proximity probe to the monitor system can be verified. This will also include signal verification from probe tip to monitoring system to the communications processor and SYSTEM 1® Display.

Equipment configuration (All of the above including Snapshot, Scout, ADRE…)

Instrumentation Documentation Services: For installed Bently Nevada equipment, all system components can be documented including but not limited to, model numbers, serial numbers, monitor configuration, software configuration, and machine train locations. All calibration verification data will be documented in both an “as found” and an “as left” format.

Commissioning Services For New Bently Nevada Machinery Protection And Management Systems Will Be Commissioned At The Time Of Installation: This service includes the initial testing and configuration of all system components including transducers, monitors, and communication interfaces.

Equipment troubleshooting

Our knowledge and experience largely cover all aspects of the installed monitoring equipment and we provide a timely response to trouble shooting complex problems bringing a high return on investments to our customers.

Long term support service contracts (SSA’s)

When monitoring equipment malfunctions it is normally critical to plant operations and safety and effective maintenance and service contracts are invaluable to keeping your plant fully operational.

Spare Parts Management: Assistance with management of spare parts for the Bently Nevada equipment currently stocked on-site. The Field Engineer will be able to determine any obsolete parts, provide alternative part numbers and provide complete and accurate ordering information

Legacy and new software (System 1)

We are certified installers for GE System 1 6X Legacy software as well as the new System 1 Evo and we have successfully completed over 100 installations and upgrades. Many customers in the industry are now faced with the increasing need for cyber security and systems integration and the Innovative Solutions team is properly constituted to service this need. We are actively involved with several key customers worldwide to provide such.

Customer training (3300, 3500, System 1 6x and System 1 Evo)

Classroom and Informal OTJ Training: If it is requested, present the capabilities of the Bently Nevada equipment to Unit personnel in an effort to incorporate Bently Nevada equipment into normal plant operations for all units. This informal “on-demand” training will enable the Users to quickly improve their skills and confidence with the system

GE Energy Optimization and Control Transducers and 3500 Monitoring Systems Training

A hands-on course for anyone involved with operating and maintaining a 3500 Monitoring
System.

Topics include overview of hardware components, rack configuration, operator
display software, data acquisition software, and system troubleshooting and
maintenance. Workshops include practice with ‘live’ monitors and racks. Class sizes are
kept small to ensure that students have the opportunity to fully explore the capabilities of
the system.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • Explain the role of the 3500 Monitoring System in machinery monitoring and protection.
  • Identify installation conditions that affect the correct operation of proximity transducer
    systems.
  • Test monitor alarms and verify channel values in a radial vibration monitor.
  • Use the RIM Host Port Test Utility to verify communication with a 3500 monitoring rack.
  • Explain the use of Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) by the 3500 monitoring system.

GE Energy Optimization and Control System 1® Fundamentals Training

This instructor-led course teaches students to use the System 1 software in a variety of
practical daily use situations. Workshops demonstrate how the platform can be used
efficiently to minimize time spent looking at non-significant data, and to focus on the
information that is needed to make good management decisions. The course can be
tailored to specific asset types: hydro, wind, reciprocating compressors, motors, turbines,
compressors and other machinery.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:

  • Use various System 1 software tools and plots to detect subtle changes in asset
    condition.
  • Retrieve and display data in bar graphs and various plot formats.
  • View alarms and events in the event manager.
  • Enter observations and notes with the journal editor.
  • Use DOCUVIEW* to create links to various reference documents.
  • Create reports on monitored plant assets.
  • Gain a practical understanding of how our communication processors such as TDI or
    TDXnet™ collect transient data.
